Walk For Wishes To Help Benefit Orange County & Riverside Kids
What’s better than taking a long walk in the beautiful spring air? When you can raise money for a worthy cause while doing it! The Walk For Wishes benefitting Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire takes place on two different weekends: Saturday, April 20, at Castle Park in Riverside, and Saturday, April 27, at Orange County Great Park. All of the proceeds from the walks will benefit Make-A-Wish Orange County and Inland Empire. The money raised will help pay for the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Make A Difference In Your Community
Participating in a Walk For Wishes allows you to personally make a difference in the community in which you live. Registration for both walks is $25 until 5 p.m. Friday, April 12, and then $35 until noon on Friday, April 19 for the Riverside walk (April 26, for the Orange County walk) when online registration closes. Same day registration for both walks is $40. The registration includes a t-shirt and your event-day pass, which gives you access to all of the activities, although if you register on-site, you aren’t guaranteed a t-shirt.
There are also special prize packages that you can be eligible to win depending on how much money you raise as an individual or a team. Check out the Riverside or Orange County event page for more information.
Each of the 2-mile walks will feature a world of wishes, giving participants the opportunity to share in the magic of the four types of wishes: to be, to have, to go and to meet.
Activities for each event begin with registration the opening of festivities at 8 a.m. The walk begins at 9:30 and the festivities conclude at noon.
Register Online Today
Walkers can register online as teams or individuals. If you can’t attend, you can make a general donation to the Riverside walk or the Orange County walk. When you Walk for Wishes, you will feel great about bringing joy and hope to a local child. Wish Kids also attend and they will get so much joy from seeing how many caring, supportive people are there walking for them!
If you can’t make the walk, you can still contribute by donating a vehicle to Wheels For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire. Both a great ways to help grant the wish of a local child in your community.
